Tracking & Usage

How do I see my bike’s location in the app?

To see your bike's current location, just select Live Map in the Navigation at the bottom of the screen! The Snik device must be paired to your phone and assigned to a bike.

What happens if my bike is stolen?

Mark your bike as ‘Stolen’ in the app by triggering an Alert. This triggers real-time location tracking, where you are able to select: Track on my own, Alert Community, or Alert Friends.

How do I share my bike’s location with someone else?

When Triggering an Alert, choosing ‘Alert Community’ will notify all nearby Snik users, while ‘Alert Friends’ sends the alert only to your Snik connections.

How do alerts/notifications work? Can I customize them?

When your Snik device moves, and you’re not within Bluetooth range, the mobile app will notify you. You’re then able to trigger an Alert. You can also trigger an Alert manually by tapping the button on the Live Map.

You can customize your notifications and settings in the Profile Settings—accessed on your Bike Profile, at the top right of your screen there is a settings cog.

How do I add multiple bikes/devices to one account?

Navigate to the Bike Profile page and then tap the + button at the bottom of the screen. You’re able to Add Bike by selecting the Brand, Model and Year. Your new bike now be visible on your Bike Profle—the highest value bike is shown first!

You can attach a Snik Device to your Bike(s) by tapping the edit bike button (top right on the bike image— three dots). In Edit Bike, you can pair/detach Snik devices there.

Battery & Charging

How long does the battery last?

Under typical use, the battery lasts up to 9 weeks on a single charge. Heavy tracking or frequent alerts may reduce this time.

How do I charge my Snik?

Remove the device from the case (installed in the steerer tube of your bike) using the provided key and connect it to the USB-C cable. A full charge takes about 2 hours.

How will I know when the battery is low?

The app will send a low-battery notification when your device reaches 20% capacity and again at 10% capacity.

Can I replace the battery myself?

The battery is rechargeable but not user-replaceable. If your device no longer holds a charge, contact Snik Support for a service or replacement.
