Installing Snik
What you will need:

- Mallet or hammer
- Measurement Ruler
- Installation Bolt (D) *supplied

Before you start
CHECK YOUR FORK COMPATIBILITY — CRUCIAL
Snik is NOT compatible with:
Giant Overdrive 2 forks
RockShox “35” series forks
Cannondale Lefty forks
Forks with carbon steerer tubes
Measuring Your Steerer Tube
Most forks will work, but a few with very short steerers won’t. Minimum steerer tube lengths:
Fox forks (except 38): 190 mm
Fox 38: 210 mm
All RockShox forks: 210 mm
To measure: Take a ruler and measure from the underside of the fork crown up to the top of your spacer stack (or the top of the stem if no spacers are above it).
Step 1 - Remove the top cap bolt
Unscrew and remove the bolt from your bike’s top cap. Leave the cap in place and keep your stem bolts tight to maintain headset tension.
Step 2 - Thread the Bolt (D) through the top cap
Take the supplied Bolt (D) and thread it through your top cap and into the star nut.
Turn it ten full rotations to engage securely.
Step 3 - Lower the star nut
Use a mallet or hammer to carefully hit bolt (D) downward until it’s flush with the top cap. This moves your star nut deeper into the steerer tube.
**Keep the bolt vertical while hitting downward to avoid misalignment.
Step 4 - Insert the Case
Remove the Bolt (D) and your top cap. Insert the Case (B) into the steerer tube with the threaded bushing facing upward toward you. The case (B) should sit neatly inside the tube.
Step 5 - Connect the Case (B) to your star nut
Using a long-handle 4 mm hex key, tension the bolt already inside the Case (B) into the star nut.
** Tighten to a maximum of 2 Nm (hand-tight).
Step 6 - Insert your Snik Device (A)
Slide the Snik Device (A) into the Case (B). Use the supplied Key (C) to tighten it until the Device (A) sits flush with the Case (B).
Step 7 - Check your Installation
- Ensure the device sits flush with the case.
- Double-check your headset tension.
- Spin your bars to ensure smooth steering.
